Staircase with landing

A staircase with landing can have different shapes depending on the landing design. The most common is to have a corner landing (L-shaped) or a landing in the full width of the staircase (U-shaped as in the picture) and two straight flights that meet at the landing. Both closed stringer stairs and stairs with open stringer are available with landing. Often the landing itself may need an extra, load-bearing pole to the floor to become stable.
